The Low-Income Energy Assistance Program [LEAP] is a federally funded program administered by the Colorado Department of Human Services and is designed to assist eligible Coloradans with winter home heating costs.  LEAP accepts applications from November 1 through April 30 of each year.

LEAP provides cash assistance to help hard working Colorado families and individuals pay winter home heating costs. Other benefits provided by LEAP include repair or replacement of a home’s primary heating system such as furnace or wood-burning stove as well as improvements to the energy efficiency in a home.

This online tool aims to assist both county agencies and statewide community partners with outreach efforts in reaching Coloradans with information about LEAP so that they understand the program and understand who is eligible and how to apply.
